Recommended Procedures To Plant a Pecan Tree

1. First take your water for Analyzing and ask for W3 analyzing.

2. Take soil samples and send it for analyzing.

3. Send the analyzed results to Sandvetpecans and we will help you.

4. Pecans need short cold winters and long warm summers.

5. Look at your date of frost before the winter and the latest frost after winter

6. If you get hold of data of a weather station nearby you that can help with this data and will help to choose the correct varieties.

7. Soil must very good aerated for the main tap root to easily penetrate any soil.

8. The tree cannot handle high levels of sodiums and carbonates.

9. The ideal PH level in the soil must be between 6/6.5 for makro uptake.

10. The PH levels in the soil for micro uptake must be between 4/4.5

11. When planting trees it is very important to feed the tree correctly.

12. After planting the tree compact the soil around the tree and don’t plant the tree in a dam of water.

13. Give after planting the tree water to take out the air around the roots and take oxygen into the soil.
